On 15 December 2020, the HELICON project was formally launched. The project is funded by the BELSPO BRAIN-be 2.0 (2018-2023) program, and aims to unravel the long-term and indirect health impact of the COVID-19 crisis in Belgium, and will assess social inequalities throughout the COVID-19 disease spectrum. The project foresees funding for two PhD students and 1.2 post-doctoral positions. The project will be coordinated by a multidisciplinary consortium offering a broad clinical, epidemiological, socio-economic and demographic perspective.
